The Bus Attendant is responsible for assisting the school bus driver in maintaining order on the bus and assuring the safety of all passengers while entering, riding, and departing from the bus

  • Maintains order and behavior of children on the bus so the driver will not be distracted from safe driving
  • Releases students only to persons given permission to do so.
  • Understands, encourages, and carries out the principles of safety management
  • Learns bus route, and notifies substitute driver when necessary
  • Greet students in a pleasant manner
  • Help students as necessary
  • Ensure all students arrive safely at their destination
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Bus Driver-Maintenance HelperBD/MH

Assists in performing a variety of routine Maintenance and repair tasks and will operate a school bus.

  • Performs a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled maintenance tasks 
  • Assists in making electrical, heating, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, and roofing repairs
  • Maintains work tools and equipment
  • Assists in planting and maintaining shrubs, trees and grass as well as performing other ground maintenance work
  • Assists in operating a variety of automotive and maintenance equipment
  • Operates a bus in the transportation of school children to and from assigned destinations
  • Performs maintenance, minor repairs and keeps bus clean
$49,472-$50,214 per annum
Bus DriverBD#1

6:30am- 9:30am and/or 1:45pm- 5:15pm

Drives school bus on an "as needed" basis transporting students to and from school buildings and special events in a safe and clean environment. Maintains safety standards and proper conduct. Cleans bus and dispenses fuel for assigned vehicle. Performs related duties as requested.

$28.00 Hourly
